Patricio Zambrano's shift to Movimiento Ciudadano causes controversy as VIDA NL's Jaime Ochoa accuses him of betrayal. Despite contractual obligations, legal actions won't be pursued.

Political Tensions Rise in Monterrey

The arrival of Pato Zambrano at VIDA Nuevo León led to immediate compliance with all his demands, mentioned Jaime Ochoa, president of the party. After Zambrano's affiliation with Movimiento Ciudadano, Ochoa expressed feeling betrayed by his former candidate and they chose not to take legal action to enforce a contract signed until June 2027, where both committed to respecting the agreed terms.

Ochoa detailed that elite security, food supplies, and other demands were provided to Zambrano's team to carry out the campaign. Zambrano, according to Ochoa, has used local politics as his means of livelihood after passing through several parties and is now preparing a project in Monterrey with MC.

The party leader stated that all resources requested by Zambrano were provided, including economic, legal, human, and material support to strengthen his candidacy for the mayoralty of Monterrey, as well as the commitment to be a candidate in 2027 with VIDA Nuevo León.

Despite setbacks, no legal action will be taken against Zambrano, who was supported with the genuine interest of serving the community in mind. Additionally, it has been revealed that Zambrano threatened to leave the party if all his demands were not met.

Zambrano arrived at Movimiento Ciudadano after negotiations with party members and seems to be planning a project in the capital. Despite everything, Ochoa concluded by saying: "We have learned to repay evil with good."
