Police Arrest Two in Drug and Weapon Bust

During a protection and surveillance tour, the Monterrey Police detained a young man and a minor in possession of firearms and drugs. The detainees were carrying a pistol with six live cartridges and 26 bags containing substances similar to powdered cocaine, crystal, and marijuana in the commercial area of Colegio Civil in the city center. The capture of Carlos Manuel A., 22 years old, and Juan, 16 years old, took place between the streets of May 5 and 15.

During the routine patrol, Monterrey Police officers noticed two men acting suspiciously. One of them threw a backpack into a business upon noticing the police presence. When searching the suspects, they uttered insults. Upon checking the backpack, 15 transparent bags containing a white substance similar to stone cocaine were found, as well as two bags of marijuana and a pistol type XDM-45 caliber .177 with six loaded cartridges, along with a white iPhone cellular phone.

When inspecting the minor, nine bags containing a solid substance resembling crystal were found in his pants. Both individuals were detained and placed at the disposal of the relevant authorities. These actions are part of the Shield strategy implemented by the municipal administration to provide greater security to citizens and reduce crimes in the area.

Both the young man and the minor were taken to Monterrey Police facilities, where they were placed under the custody of the relevant authorities.
