Construction of C4 and Park Rehabilitation in Monterrey

The Monterrey City Hall officially began the construction of the South Command, Control, Communication, and Computing (C4) Center and the rehabilitation of the adjacent Las Diligencias Park. Both buildings are located on the same property, so these comprehensive actions will contribute to the security of the population. Mayor Adrián de la Garza recalled that within the 'Escudo' strategy, progress has been made in the recruitment of police officers, in their training, and now in the implementation of the C4 centers. He emphasized that these are important projects, where a great investment and a great effort by the city of Monterrey are being made to bring better and greater security to families. The Secretary of Public Works, Nazario Pineda, explained that the building in the south zone will have three floors and 61 service areas such as the judicial, complaint (CODE), Civil Protection, monitoring, intelligence, and general offices. This 6,750-square-meter facility will dedicate its ground floor to citizen attention and the basement will have an area for registration, preventive detention, medical review, railing, cells, and Civic Justice, among others. Located on Paseo del Oeste corner with Herraduras street, in the Las Diligencias neighborhood, the Park will have 2,430 square meters, and will feature a bike path, concrete walkways, a terrace, children's play area, exercise and calisthenics equipment. Las Diligencias Park will also have three mesh-shade structures, as well as picnic tables, benches, a perimeter fence, and new lighting. The park intervention was requested by the neighbors and will serve to strengthen the social fabric, healthy coexistence, and the practice of physical activities. While the C4, construction of the C4 in the north zone began in October, which to date has a 25% progress. 'One of the main actions was the construction of two Intelligence Centers, one in the north that we started last year and today, the one we are starting in the south zone,' said the mayor. 'It will be a security and information management center to produce intelligence, it will have specific monitoring of this area of the city, to be able to deploy police units, that is why we are increasing the number of police officers, to be able to have coverage in this part,' mentioned the mayor. The mayor mentioned that both centers will do the same work as the current one located in Alamey Park and will complement each other.
