The president of the Chamber of the Transformation Industry (Caintra) Nuevo León, Máximo Vedoya, along with Juan Pablo García, general director of the same institution, expressed their concern about the lack of functioning of the governing boards of the Mobility Institute in Monterrey.

During a press conference, executive Máximo Vedoya highlighted the importance of addressing how to improve the transportation system in the metropolitan area of Monterrey, beyond solely focusing on the issue of fares. Vedoya emphasized the need to establish mechanisms for fare adjustments in accordance with inflation, ensuring a gradual and fair increase.

Regarding the governing boards, Juan Pablo García pointed out that they currently lack a clear agenda and the necessary information to effectively contribute to the search for solutions for a better mobility system in the region. This lack of operationality in the governing boards hinders effective collaboration among the various stakeholders involved in public transport.

Both representatives of Caintra stressed the importance of advocating for a public transportation system that operates optimally and promotes efficient mobility throughout the state. They also underscored the need for the governing boards to fulfill their duty to operate in accordance with the law, in order to guarantee a space where all relevant issues for the improvement of public transportation in the area can be discussed.
