The Secretary of Economic Development and Labor, VĂctor Gabriel Chedraui, announced the opening of the brand "Puebla 5 de Mayo," which will promote products made in the state. Currently, there are five cities interested in setting up a store both within the Republic and in the United States. The first establishment of this type is expected to open between June and July of this year.
The goal is for these establishments to be present in all regions of the state. These stores will offer a variety of Puebla products, including food, crafts, and textiles. There are already five potential investors interested in acquiring a franchise soon, some of whom are from Tijuana and cities in the United States such as Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York, and Chicago. This will facilitate the arrival of Puebla products to the migrant community abroad.
The certification processes with Cofepris are being evaluated to ensure the quality of the products in these stores. As an example, the store that already operates in front of the Ministry of Economy's headquarters is mentioned. This strategy adds to the program for the regularization of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (Mipymes) that the Secretary of Economic Development plans to implement in 26 municipalities that concentrate the highest number of economic units.
