On the occasion of International Women's Day, Montserrat Miquel Hernández, a political scientist and doctor in Regional Development, gave the talk "Women Leaders in Academia." The Municipal Comptroller's Office, represented by Dulce Lilia Rivera Aranda, promoted this event as part of the actions to recognize female leadership.
The exhibition of products made by women entrepreneurs was highlighted as part of promoting economic development and the visibility of their projects. The City Government reaffirms its commitment to gender equity and inclusion by promoting opportunities for women.
The presence of authorities such as Mónica Silva Ruiz, Municipal Syndic, Gabriel Biestro Medinilla, coordinator of Councilors, and Councilor Samuel Hernández demonstrates interest in participation and learning on gender issues. Zaira González Gómez, head of the Secretariat for Substantive Gender Equality, emphasized the importance of female leadership for a more equitable and just future for all people.
The presentation addressed experiences and achievements of women in the academic field, highlighting their fundamental role in education and research. The invitation to work together for the respect of women's rights and the appreciation of their leadership was one of the central themes of the event.
