Luis Armando Couturier Pumarino, born in Mexico City on August 25, 1937, had an extensive artistic career that began as a cartoonist in the 1950s before making the leap to acting in 1972. Along with his brother Miguel Couturier, also an actor, Luis was noted for his versatility and dedication to the arts, becoming an iconic figure in the entertainment industry in Mexico.
Among the television productions he participated in are 'La casa al final de la calle' (1989), 'El premio mayor' (1995), 'Ramona' (2000), 'Contra viento y marea' (2005), 'Sortilegio' (2009), and 'El color de la pasión' (2014). Additionally, he had a significant role in the series 'El Pantera' (2008), where his performance received praise for its authenticity.
In the film realm, Couturier participated in movies such as 'A fuego lento' (1980), 'El tigre de Santa Julia' (2002), and 'Tercera llamada' (2012). His last appearance was in the film 'Bardo, falsa crónica de unas cuantas verdades' (2022) by Alejandro González Iñárritu, where he played the father of the protagonist.
Luis Couturier passed away on February 27 at the age of 87 in Puebla. ANDI highlighted his extensive career in theater, film, and television, remembering him as a very talented actor.
