
On the morning of this Monday, shortly after 8:30 am, a student fell from the terrace of the Graduate Building of the Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla (UPAEP) in the Barrio de Santiago. The causes of the incident are currently unknown. According to an official statement, the security personnel of the institution immediately activated the assistance protocol and requested medical support. "They assisted the young man and contacted the medical services, which arrived shortly afterward," detailed the institution.
The student, identified as Fernando "N", was transported conscious to the UPAEP–Christus Muguerza Hospital, where he is undergoing evaluation. The university has established communication with the young man's family, providing them support and care. Additionally, authorities have been notified for the appropriate follow-up.
"The University will remain attentive to the young man's evolution and will offer its entire support network to assist in the restoration of his complete well-being, which is our primary concern," emphasized UPAEP. According to preliminary reports, the young man jumped from the fifth floor of the building and survived, although he sustained an injury to one of his legs.
