Lawyer Paloma Corte has filed a complaint with the Puebla Prosecutor's Office for having been a victim of sexual harassment in the offices of the Judiciary. The accused is Roberto Medina Torres, husband of Blanca Laura Ollivier, a judge in Tehuacán. According to the lawyer's account, while carrying out procedures in the "Judicial City", she noticed that Medina Torres was taking photos under her skirt.
On her social media, Paloma Corte detailed that upon finding herself inappropriately filmed by Roberto Medina Torres in the offices of the Puebla Judiciary, she confronted the individual and confirmed that he was recording a video under her skirt. The lawyer mentioned that the harasser was filming specific parts of her body, which she considered a violation of her privacy and dignity.
Upon realizing the situation, Paloma Corte decided to alert the police. Although Medina Torres attempted to delete the images, he hinted that he had recorded other women without their consent. The victim stated that Judge Blanca Laura Ollivier, the harasser's wife, offered her apologies, assuring that she would not abandon her husband despite what had happened.
In a press conference, Claudia Sheinbaum, the president, expressed concern upon learning that Roberto Medina Torres's phone also contained intimate photographs of minors. Although she was not aware of the Paloma Corte case, Sheinbaum asked Citlalli Hernández, head of the Women’s Secretariat, to take charge and provide support to the lawyer.
In light of the situation, the Judiciary issued a statement informing that the personnel from Integral Protection and the Auxiliary Police acted immediately upon receiving the lawyer Paloma Corte's request for help, providing her with the necessary support at that moment.
