In a video, you can see how the agents try to carry out an alleged arrest warrant against Francisco Javier. After realizing the mistake, the agents allow him to get up, apologize, and leave. In the video, Francisco Javier pleads with them not to choke him, mentions that there is no warrant against him, and requests to stand up.
The State Attorney General's Office (FGE) has announced that an investigation has been initiated into the actions of the agents involved in the incident. These agents have been temporarily removed from their duties while the investigation is underway. In a statement, the FGE mentions that actions will be taken in accordance with the law once the circumstances of the police action are determined.
Both the FGE and the Puebla State Human Rights Commission (CDH Puebla) will work together to clarify what happened and establish responsibilities. In the video, one of the agents is seen immobilizing Francisco Javier by placing his knees on his torso, while the other demands that he identify himself. The incident took place at the corner of Sánchez Pontón Boulevard and 2 de Octubre Martyrs Boulevard, near Plaza Dorada.
