The Coordinating Business Council (CCE) of Puebla expressed its support for the Benemérita Autonomous University of Puebla (BUAP) and its rector, Lilia Cedillo Ramírez, amid recent student mobilizations. It highlighted the importance of the institution in innovation, economic development, and the creation of opportunities in the state.
In a statement, the business organization recognized BUAP as an agent of change in the region, emphasizing its contribution to social and academic progress. Additionally, the CCE praised Cedillo Ramírez's leadership at the university and her commitment to the student and faculty community.
The CCE of Puebla reaffirmed its confidence that, through a collaborative and respectful approach, the institution will be able to overcome the challenges it faces, preserving its autonomy and strengthening its educational mission. It also expressed its commitment to working together with BUAP and other higher education institutions to promote innovation, competitiveness, and sustainable development in Puebla.
"We are convinced that, together, society, academia, and the business sector can build a more prosperous and equitable future for all the people of Puebla," concluded the CCE Puebla.
In light of the current situation, CCE Puebla called for dialogue and active listening as fundamental tools for resolving differences and building agreements.
