
The federation applied a 22.5% cut to the budget of Querétaro, reducing the allocated amount by 24 million pesos. In the agreement, it was established that the federal Ministry of Health would grant the state 106.8 million pesos, of which 93.4 million would be for supplies and 13.4 million for resources. However, 12.7 million was cut from supplies and 500 thousand pesos from resources, leaving them at 80.7 and 12.9 million respectively.
During Claudia Sheinbaum's administration, the final figure was adjusted to 82.8 million pesos, with a new cut of 10.9 million from supplies, leaving them at 69.8 million, while maintaining resources. Additionally, 10.7 million pesos were reduced for vaccines, which meant a 16.7% decrease for the Universal Vaccination Program in Querétaro.
Official documents indicate that, despite what was agreed, by the end of the year the federation only delivered 5.6 million pesos to treat cancer in the entity, cutting 74.6% in supplies and 20% in resources. As for vaccines, 63.9 million pesos were contemplated in supplies, but throughout 2024 the federal government cut 12.6 million pesos allocated for cancer treatments in Querétaro, a budgetary reduction of 69%.
Two modifications were made to the agreement throughout the year, reducing the final amount to 93.7 million pesos in the first modification.
