The head of the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection, Omar García Harfuch, detailed in a conference about the massacre that occurred in the bar Los Cantaritos in Querétaro. According to García Harfuch, during the attack, 10 people died, including Fernando ‘N’ and another individual allegedly linked to organized crime.
The official mentioned that shots were fired directly at a table in the bar and explained that it was a coordinated act, as while one person was questioning, two other individuals descended to shoot. He also stated that this is not the first time violence has been recorded in the area, as there was another attack in a restaurant on November 7 where three people lost their lives.
García Harfuch added that an investigation is underway to determine whether the incident is related to a rivalry between two criminal cells, pointing out that these may be linked to the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel. Regarding the investigations, he mentioned that they are working jointly with the Attorney General of the Republic and Querétaro, as well as with the state police.
Authorities confirmed that ten people lost their lives inside the bar Los Cantaritos, while at least nine were injured. García Harfuch commented that following the attack, one person was arrested in connection with the events.
The violent incident at the bar Los Cantaritos occurred on Saturday, November 9, on Avenida Circunvalación in downtown Querétaro. According to reports, four armed individuals arrived at the establishment in a truck and opened fire on those present, causing multiple injuries and fatalities. The Attorney General reported that among the deceased victims, there are seven men and three women.
