Increase in 'Unidos' Fare Users in Querétaro

The Mobility Agency of the State of Querétaro (Ameq) expects that during the renewal period of the "Unidos" fare, more than 15 thousand new users of public transport will be registered, according to the head of the agency, Gerardo Cuanalo Santos. Currently, around 158 thousand people benefit from the preferential fare of 2 pesos, so new registrations would represent approximately a 10% increase.

Cuanalo Santos mentioned that the deadline to register or renew the fare is May 31, and that it will be after this date when the exits and new registrations for the program will be evaluated. "We are looking at around 15 thousand new registrations," he emphasized. In addition, he explained that it will be analyzed how many people stop being registered to determine the new number of beneficiaries of the program.

By early April, the renewal process for the "Unidos" fare had progressed by 35%, reported the head of Ameq. Therefore, he called on students, seniors, people with disabilities, and other eligible groups for the fare to complete their procedures on time with the required documentation.
