The match between Querétaro and Puebla, corresponding to matchday 10 of the Clausura 2025 in Mexican football, was overshadowed by a tense moment when player Emiliano Gómez suffered convulsions during the game.

The tension escalated when Emiliano Gómez from Puebla collided head-on with José Canale from Querétaro in a dispute for the ball. The player fell knocked out to the ground and began to convulse, causing concern among his teammates and spectators.

In a gesture of solidarity, players from both teams formed a circle to shield Emiliano Gómez from the cameras and prevent shocking images from being recorded. After several minutes, Gómez was taken off the field on a stretcher to the applause of the crowd at the Estadio Corregidora.

Subsequently, Emiliano Gómez was transported to a hospital for appropriate medical attention. Although Club Puebla did not provide details about his condition, they sent words of support and encouragement via social media.

José Canale was also affected by the incident and had to temporarily leave the match following the Liga MX concussion protocol. However, he returned to the game and played the rest of the match.

As for the result, Querétaro won 2-0 with goals from Francisco Venegas and Federico Lértora. With this result, Querétaro reached 10 points and moved up to 13th place in the table, while Puebla remained in 15th place with eight points.
