The Secretary of Welfare in Querétaro plans to hire 300 health professionals to implement the House by House Health program starting January 1, 2025. Delegate Mauricio Hernández Núñez reported that the call for applications has been open since October 21 until November 15. This program is expected to benefit more than 200,000 elderly persons and 50,000 persons with disabilities enrolled in welfare pension programs.
As part of this program, medical consultations will be provided at home, with the authority to prescribe and supply medications. To carry out this process, a census is being conducted to locate the homes of these individuals, considering their mobility. The aim is to hire medical and nursing staff to fulfill the presidential commitment to provide health services to the most vulnerable people.
So far, 172 individuals have approached and submitted their documents for evaluation and training. It is expected that they will join government work in January with legal benefits and a net salary of 18,000 pesos for an 8-hour workday.
On the other hand, a favorable response has been received for the Women's Welfare Pension program, with the incorporation of 11,088 women aged 63 and 64. These women will be able to receive a bimonthly amount of 3,000 pesos in 2025. Nationally, there are 704,947 women accounted for, and it is expected to reach nearly 19,000 in Querétaro. The call for this program will close on November 30, with 23 modules available in the state.
Regarding the farmers who expressed complaints about the lack of payment for support, Hernández Núñez announced that the Procampo program will continue. A meeting is scheduled to address the demands of the farmers and ensure pending payments.
