During the anniversary event of the Constitution, Sonia Rocha claimed to have met with Citlalli Hernández, to whom she reiterated her willingness to collaborate on the evaluation being prepared in each entity and to participate in actions in favor of women. She expressed the importance of working as a team and in coordination, following the instruction of the governor of Querétaro, promoting problem-solving through close communication.
Rocha indicated that the Ministry of Women in the state currently operates with resources from the state government, focusing efforts on providing legal and psychological assistance in municipal centers, the Women's Justice Center, and the Shelter for Women Victims of Violence. She highlighted the significant support received from the state government, which has allowed the services to remain uninterrupted.
Regarding the possibility of expanding programs for the women of Querétaro, the head of the Ministry of Women informed that they are waiting for calls from the federation to apply for additional resources. Sonia Rocha mentioned that the federal Ministry of Women is undergoing a restructuring process, which has delayed the issuance of calls to finance actions in local agencies.
Despite this situation, she announced that she will soon hold a virtual meeting with Citlalli Hernández, head of the federal Ministry of Women, hoping that new support and operational rules will be announced. Rocha expressed her desire for that meeting to provide greater clarity regarding when states will be able to present their programs to receive resources, indicating that the agency is budgetarily prepared to take advantage of these opportunities.
