The governor of Querétaro, Mauricio Kuri González, has declared that his government will not lower its guard on security matters. He called on citizens to trust the authorities and collaborate with anonymous reports, as he believes that security is a shared responsibility. Kuri stated that his administration will continue to prioritize order and security, and assured that anyone involved in criminal activities will be pursued to the fullest extent of the law.

The Secretary of Government of Querétaro, Carlos Alcaraz Gutiérrez, mentioned that it is public knowledge that a person is connected to one of the individuals held by the U.S. government. On the other hand, the governor announced that the individuals responsible for the recent triple homicide have been identified and he hopes they will be captured soon by the State Attorney General's Office.

Regarding the case of 'El Changuito', it was reported that both Governor Mauricio Kuri and Secretary of Government Carlos Alcaraz Gutiérrez stated that Diego Méndez Velázquez, alias 'El Changuito', had no roots in Querétaro. However, it was revealed that he resided between the municipalities of San Juan del Río and Ezequiel Montes, where he owned properties, and had been seen driving a Lamborghini Urus in Querétaro before the tragic incident.

On the day of the event, three people were shot dead inside a Lamborghini vehicle in front of a bar. The governor stated that progress is being made in the investigation and that they are acting firmly. He also highlighted the security strategy in the state and the importance of coordination with the National Guard and other police forces to keep Querétaro as one of the safest states in the country.

According to the Attorney General's Office of Querétaro, the attack occurred shortly after 4:00 a.m., where three of the four people in the luxury vehicle died at the scene. A fourth person was injured and taken to a hospital. The institution initiated a murder investigation and activated the corresponding gender protocols.

The Jalisco New Generation Cartel claimed responsibility for the execution of the three individuals, including 'El Changuito', through a video on social media. Governor Kuri confirmed that it was a settling of scores between criminal groups and assured that citizens do not face a direct threat. However, he emphasized the seriousness with which these events must be addressed to prevent Querétaro from being affected by organized crime.
