The Legislative Power of the State of Querétaro has revealed its new committee members and presidents, aiming for citizen benefit and state development across various sectors.


New Legislative Committee Members Announced in Querétaro

The Legislative Power of the State of Querétaro has appointed the new members and presidents of its committees, who will work for the benefit of the citizens and the development of the state.

María Georgina Guzmán Álvarez will head the Commission for Social Development, Vulnerable Groups, and Housing, while Luis Antonio Zapata Guerrero will preside over the Commission for Urban Development, Public Works, and Communications.

Regarding Education and Culture, the presidency will be in charge of Paul Ospital Carrera, and the Commission for Family and Rights of Girls, Boys, and Adolescents will be led by María Leonor Mejía Barraza.

Other appointments include Sinuhe Arturo Piedragil Ortiz as president of the Commission for Government, Public Administration, and Electoral Affairs; Rosalba Vázquez Munguía in the Commission for Gender Equality and Human Rights; Juliana Rosario Hernández Quintanar as president of the Instructive; and Edgar Inzunza Ballesteros leading the Commission for Youth and Sports.

Additionally, Perla Patricia Flores Suárez will be in charge of the Commission for the Environment and Climate Change; Enrique Antonio Correa Sada will preside over the Commission for Sustainable Mobility and Traffic, and Mauricio Cárdenas Palacios will lead the Commission for Citizen Participation.

Luis Gerardo Ángeles Herrera will preside over the Commission for Planning and Budget; Homero Barrera MacDonald will head the Commission for Constitutional Points; Alejandrina Verónica Galicia Castañón will be the president of the Commission for Health; and Teresita Calzada Rovirosa will direct the Commission for Public Security and Civil Protection.

The Commission for Monitoring the 2030 Agenda will be chaired by Eric Silva Hernández; while Adriana Elisa Mesa Argaluza will lead the Commission for Tourism.
