The Attorney General's Office of Guanajuato confirmed that the bodies of the 11 people killed during the armed attack that occurred on Sunday at a soccer field in the community of Loma de Flores, in the municipality of Salamanca, have been identified and handed over to their families. According to the institution, the bodies of the victims delivered were nine men and two women, aged 17 to 56. The information was confirmed after the completion of forensic and identification procedures. According to local media, the Attorney General's Office clarified through a message from its communications area that all deceased persons were recognized and handed over, although their names were not made public for legal and security reasons. However, it described that the bodies of men aged 17, 20, 22, 29, 34, 40, 41, 53 and 56 were delivered, as well as those of two women aged 21 and 26. Simultaneously with the official investigations, the identities of the victims were spread on social networks, such as Carlos Alejandro Moreno, known as 'Charly Jr.', drummer for the group Reencuentro Norteño. Alejandro Prieto Páramo was also identified, who was a municipal traffic officer of Salamanca; in addition, the brothers Luis Fernando and Luis Enrique Vázquez Sosa; Bryan Gutiérrez, Martín 'N', Luis Alberto 'N', José Bernal, Francisco Guevara, Carmen 'N' and María Elena 'N'. According to preliminary versions, six of these people worked as private security guards and had been hired to guard the security of the soccer field. The attack occurred last Sunday afternoon during an amateur soccer match between teams from communities in Salamanca and Irapuato. Witnesses recounted that a group of armed men arrived at the sports field in several pickup trucks, entered through the parking area and opened fire directly at players, spectators and private security personnel who were in the area. Municipal authorities reported that, in addition to the fatal victims, 12 people were injured and were taken to regional hospitals to receive medical attention, and some, under observation due to the severity of their injuries.
