In Yucatan, a case of lynching occurred, resulting in the death of a resident of the municipality of Tekit under the pretext of being a murderer. According to witnesses from the local residents, a man by the name of 'El Vero' had previously committed violent acts and even, as reported by local media, four years ago killed a person in a rehabilitation center.
It was noted that initially, a suspect was apprehended in the house of Maria and was beaten with a wooden stick, resulting in serious injuries. Nevertheless, the mob dragged the man into the street with force and ultimately lynched him.
Yucatan Governor Joaquin Diaz Mena commented on the events in Tekit and expressed condolences to the family of the deceased Maria. The man was arrested by the police and placed in a cell. Diaz Mena also expressed outrage over the lynching within the framework of the justice system.
The governor stood up for preserving public safety, calling Yucatan a model for peace and values. He also confirmed that the prosecutor's office is already conducting an investigation into the incident.
