Investigation Launched in Death of Child in Tlalnepantla

The Attorney General's Office of the State of Morelos is investigating the tragic death of a child that occurred during a camp organized by the Ollin Cuauhtémoc Militarized Academy. According to reports from his relatives, the minor, identified as E.L.T.T., lost his life after allegedly being beaten and tortured.

As part of the investigations, a search was carried out at a property in the municipality of Tlalnepantla, Morelos. The operation extended from Monday to the early hours of Tuesday, in the community of Felipe Neri. The Attorney General's Office reported that it is focusing on determining the corresponding responsibilities regarding this unfortunate event.

In the midst of these proceedings, a meeting was scheduled for this Tuesday between the child's family and the Attorney General, Edgar Maldonado. In this meeting, they will be informed about the progress of the investigation and institutional support will be offered. The Attorney General's Office has declared its commitment to conduct a thorough investigation to clarify what happened and establish responsibilities.

In the interest of inter-institutional collaboration, the Attorney's Office of Morelos is exchanging information with the Attorney General's Office of Justice of Mexico City. It is expected that updates on the case will continue to be provided as permitted by current legal provisions. Agents from the Criminal Investigation Department and experts from the state Attorney's Office, with the support of various institutions, participated in the collection of evidence to clarify the circumstances surrounding the tragic death of the child.
