
On the free road Toluca-Ixtlahuaca, at the height of the San Bernabé Bridge, in the municipality of Almoloya de Juárez, a traffic accident occurred. The incident involved a passenger bus covering the route from the northern area of the State of Mexico to the bus terminal in the state capital and the dry box of a trailer, leaving the passengers trapped inside the bus.
Ambulances from the Mexican Red Cross and the State of Mexico Emergency Service (SUEM) arrived at the scene to assist the injured. One of the injured was transported by helicopter from the state government to the Adolfo López Mateos Medical Center in Toluca. Meanwhile, paramedics and firefighters worked together to rescue the trapped passengers and provide medical attention on site.
In images broadcast by the Mexican Red Cross, the moment of impact between the bus and the trailer can be seen. On the other hand, a government ambulance helicopter from Mexico landed in an area of cornfields to transport the injured to the general hospital in Toluca.
The government of the State of Mexico, through state Civil Protection, informed on social media that the traffic accident in the Santa Juana II community section left a total of 10 people injured, due to the collision between the passenger truck and a private vehicle. It was mentioned that a helicopter from the "Relámpagos" fleet was deployed to transport the injured person to the hospital. In total, 35 injured passengers were reported as a result of the collision between the bus and the trailer.
