Inauguration of the First International Health Congress

The Governor of the State of Mexico, Delfina Gómez Álvarez, inaugurated the First International Congress on Health and Wellbeing, highlighting the commitment to improve access to health services for the most vulnerable, in collaboration with the Government of Mexico.


An important announcement was made at the Mexico State Convention Center regarding the National Program of Health Centers with laboratory services in collaboration with the Government of Mexico. The Governor highlighted the importance of bringing laboratory services to more remote and vulnerable communities.

Health professionals and academics gathered at this event to exchange experiences in preventive medicine and new medical technologies. Sergio Iván Valdés Ferrer from the Ministry of Health of the Government of Mexico reaffirmed the commitment to work together with the Governor to ensure the health of the most needy.

The Secretary of Health, Macarena Montoya Olvera, emphasized the importance of addressing health issues with professionalism and responsibility. She stated that ensuring access to health is a fundamental pillar in the vision of both governments.

At the First International Congress on Health and Wellbeing, Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez highlighted the collaboration with the Government of Mexico to improve health services and make health a right rather than a privilege. During her speech, the Governor emphasized that the well-being of the people of Mexico State is a priority for her administration.

Efforts will be made to make healthcare services more efficient and to guarantee access to health as a human right. The administration committed to providing access to citizens without social security through the IMSS Bienestar program, ensuring the labor rights of medical staff and resuming abandoned hospital projects.

The Governor stressed the importance of strengthening mental health care to achieve a fulfilling life in society and to transform the health sector in an integral manner.
