Subsequently, the attacker was shot dead with a single shot after a struggle, the Morena governor revealed. At a press conference this Monday, Ramírez Bedolla explained that an investigation is already underway into why the young man accused of firing at Mayor Carlos Manzo was executed. The hitman was identified as Víctor Manuel, 17, a native and resident of Paracho. The governor of Michoacán made the revelation when a journalist asked if any political motive was being investigated. Alfredo Ramírez did not directly answer the question but affirmed that any hypothesis must be investigated. He noted that Manzo was surrounded by eight agents from his inner circle, in addition to 14 elements of the National Guard. The governor said that an investigation is already underway into what happened to 'loosen' the security cordon.
