Mauricio Cruz Solís was shot dead in the center of Uruapan, Michoacán, shortly after interviewing Mayor Carlos Manzo about a recent fire at the Tariácuri market. The attack took place around 9:15 PM on Wednesday, after the conclusion of a live broadcast for his digital platform "Minuto x Minuto". During the armed attack, one person was injured.
In the interview, Mayor Manzo reported on a 10 million pesos investment for the rehabilitation of the market, damaged by a fire whose origin is being investigated by the State Attorney General's Office.
