The Prosecutor's Office is conducting investigations to clarify the homicide of the communicator and determine the motive for the attack, which has plunged the journalistic community into mourning. The #NiUnoMás collective has urged the authorities to clarify the murder of journalist Mauricio Solís, director of Radiorama Noticias and host of the Primera Plana MX-La Poderosa news programs, which occurred on October 29, 2024.

The #NiUnoMás Michoacán Collective denounced the murder of Mauricio Solís, raising the number of journalists killed in Michoacán to 14, in addition to four missing. They emphasize that three of these murders have taken place during the current state administration of Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla. The Media Alliance MX has also demanded a thorough investigation to identify and punish those responsible, expressing solidarity with the journalistic community of Michoacán in their pursuit of justice for Cruz Solís.

Mauricio Cruz Solís was shot dead in the center of Uruapan, Michoacán, shortly after interviewing Mayor Carlos Manzo about a recent fire at the Tariácuri market. The attack took place around 9:15 PM on Wednesday, after the conclusion of a live broadcast for his digital platform "Minuto x Minuto". During the armed attack, one person was injured.

In the interview, Mayor Manzo reported on a 10 million pesos investment for the rehabilitation of the market, damaged by a fire whose origin is being investigated by the State Attorney General's Office. Manzo stated that it has not yet been determined whether the fire was accidental, intentional, or due to negligence. The FGE has opened an investigation file on the incident, which also left one unidentified person injured.
