Identification of Responsibilities in Case of Disappearance

Mexican authorities identified the alleged perpetrators of the disappearance of Sandra Domínguez, an activist from Oaxaca. They are Ubaldo Prieto Molina and Artemio García Torres, according to information from the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC).

The operation to capture the suspects took place in the vicinity of Federal Highway 147 in Veracruz. During the operation, security agents were shot at by three individuals, resulting in the tragic loss of lives.

The search for Sandra Domínguez and her husband Alexander Hernández has been intense, with the authorities committed to clarifying the case and achieving justice. In November 2024, the Attorney General's Office of the State of Oaxaca offered a reward of up to 500,000 pesos for information that could help locate them.

After carrying out an arrest warrant in Veracruz, SSPC officers and the Oaxaca Prosecutor's Office were attacked by armed men, triggering a confrontation. Three attackers lost their lives, including an SSPC member. This tragic incident highlighted the attackers' preparedness, as weapons were found at the scene.

The disappearance of Sandra Domínguez remains a mystery since October 2024. Despite efforts, her whereabouts and those of her husband remain unknown. The search for justice continues amid this complicated and high-tension situation.
