Detention of Major Drug Leader in Guanajuato

The Guanajuato Prosecutor's Office announced the capture of Luis 'N', known as 'El Pizzero', suspected leader of the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel. His arrest comes after extensive investigations and collaboration among agencies, signaling a major blow to organized crime.


Detention of Major Drug Leader in Guanajuato

The Guanajuato Prosecutor's Office reported the capture of Luis 'N', alias 'El Pizzero', alleged plaza chief of the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel in the Laja-Bajío area and responsible for several serious crimes, including kidnapping, extortion, homicide, and theft. Along with 'El Pizzero', six other alleged members of a criminal cell were detained.

The detention of Luis 'N' took place in the community of Santa Rosa de Lima, in the municipality of Villagrán, where the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel operates. His capture resulted from intelligence work and inter-institutional coordination. The State Attorney General indicated that, as a result of the investigation, evidence was gathered to support the arrest warrant against the alleged criminal leader.

Following his arrest, Luis 'N' was presented before a judge to define his legal situation in accordance with due process. Simultaneously, the Specialized Prosecutor's Office for High Impact Crimes (FEIDAI) carried out operations in the municipalities of León, Guanajuato capital, and Salamanca, executing searches with the support of Criminal Investigation Agents, forensic experts, and state and federal security forces.

During these operations, the capture of six alleged generators of violence was achieved, along with the seizure of a firearm, the confiscation of over 2,000 doses of methamphetamine, and the search of four properties related to illicit activities. Nine vehicles reported as stolen were also recovered, counterfeit documents used in criminal activities were confiscated, and telecommunications equipment used in crimes was seized.

The Prosecutor's Office classified these actions as a "decisive blow against crime" and reaffirmed its commitment to security and justice in Guanajuato. The institution declared its determination to dismantle criminal cells and combat crime in the region head-on.
