Bank Appointments in Mexico Increase After the Pandemic

In Mexico, some banks offer their clients the option to schedule appointments in advance to carry out various procedures and avoid long lines or wasting time. This appointment system has become more relevant during the COVID-19 pandemic, as the aim was to reduce time spent in enclosed spaces.

BBVA, one of the main banks in Mexico, has noticed an increase in demand for appointments for banking procedures. According to the institution, banking appointments are an excellent alternative to maximize time and avoid unnecessary trips. To schedule an appointment at BBVA, clients must visit the website, select the type of procedure, the most convenient branch, the date and time, and confirm the information.

Some of the procedures that can be carried out with an appointment at major banks include: opening accounts, contracting loans, investment funds, insurance payments, and data clarifications, among others.

The steps to schedule an appointment at Banamex, for example, include visiting the website, selecting the desired procedure (such as Afore or credit card), filling in the information, and choosing the nearest branch. It is important to mention that more than one digital shift can be generated per day by canceling or using the previous shift.

Regarding methods to make an appointment at banks, BBVA offers the option to do so through its mobile application by selecting the Branches and ATMs option. For its part, Banorte allows scheduling appointments through WhatsApp by sending a message with the word "Appointment" plus the branch code, selecting the desired service, and confirming the information.

Thus, prior appointments at banks have become a useful tool for clients, avoiding long waits and optimizing time at the branch. The most common procedures can be carried out this way, providing comfort and efficiency to users without having to face traditional bank lines.
