
On Tuesday, February 4th, Nacional Gasolinero announced fuel prices in Mexico. Magna gasoline has an average cost of $24.27 per liter, Premium is sold on average for $25.72 per liter, and Diesel has an average value of $26.14 per liter.
In Nanchital de Lázaro Cárdenas del Río, Veracruz, the lowest prices in the country are found for regular and Premium gasoline, at $22.75 and $23.45 per liter respectively. For Diesel, the lowest price is recorded in Naranjos Amatlán, with $23.89 per liter.
In Mexico City, the average price of Magna gasoline is $24.28 per liter, while Premium is sold for $26.01 per liter and Diesel for $25.82 per liter. The lowest price for Magna gasoline in the capital is found in Xochimilco at $22.49 per liter, and the highest in Coyoacán at $26.99 per liter.
Consumers concerned about high prices can report gas stations that sell above the values set by the Energy Regulatory Commission. Profeco provides the option to do this through its website or by calling a specific phone number.
Despite the decrease in international oil prices, fuel prices in Mexico remain high. It is important to remember that there are mechanisms to report and prevent abusive practices in the marketing of gasoline and Diesel.
