In Mexico, the rise in prices for products and services continues unabated, now affecting mobile phone plans. AT&T has informed its users about an increase in rates that will be reflected in their upcoming bills, with adjustments of up to 88 pesos per month depending on the plan subscribed and the mobile data capacity for browsing the Internet.
The company detailed that the most basic plans, such as the 2 GB plan, will see an increase of 11 pesos, rising from 229 pesos to 240 pesos per month. Meanwhile, higher plans, such as the 40 GB plan, will see an adjustment of 75 pesos, with a rate increasing from 1,499 pesos to 1,574 pesos per month.
In other schemes like AT&T Consíguelo and Compártelo, similar increases will be presented. For example, the AT&T Consíguelo 1 plan will increase from 285 pesos to 299 pesos, and the AT&T Consíguelo 20 scheme will have an increase of 88 pesos, rising from 1,765 pesos to 1,853 pesos per month.
For AT&T Internet en Casa users, a 30 pesos increase will apply to the basic plan and a 45 pesos increase to the full plan. The company did not specify the reasons for the adjustments, which could be due to various market factors such as rising operational costs and the need to maintain competitiveness in the sector.
AT&T notified that the rate increase will affect all its users, who will see the new prices reflected in their next bill. The company will make a proportional charge corresponding to the days of service under the new price, to facilitate an orderly transition. Customers are advised to be aware of these changes and update their plans according to their needs and payments.
