
Alfonso Ramos Cardona, the president of the Business Confederation of the Mexican Republic (Coparmex) Metropolitan of the State of Mexico for the period 2025-2026, took office in a ceremony alongside Juan José Sierra Álvarez, national president of Coparmex, mayors of municipalities in the State of Mexico, and business leaders.
In his message following the commitment of the Board of Directors, Ramos Cardona expressed his commitment to lead Coparmex Metropolitan of the State of Mexico during a crucial time for the business community. He emphasized the importance of strengthening participation in the economic and social development of the region in a complex national and international political context.
Ramos Cardona stressed that security is a fundamental axis in his work strategy, crucial for business development. He proposed promoting strategies and collaborating with state authorities to improve security, reduce crime rates, and protect business activities.
In addition to security, the president of Coparmex Metropolitan of Edomex highlighted the importance of infrastructure, connectivity, mobility, training, education, and corporate responsibility. He committed to promoting proposals that drive logistical development, maintenance of roadways, modernization of industrial and commercial spaces, and generation of sustainable practices.
In the field of education and training, Ramos Cardona stated that the future of companies depends on talent and training, so he will continue to strengthen alliances with educational institutions. Additionally, he committed to promoting responsible business practices and sustainable strategies to create a positive impact on the environment.
The president of Coparmex Metropolitan of Edomex announced the organization of business sessions addressing topics such as SMEs and Artificial Intelligence, with the aim of strengthening the business sector and promoting technological innovation. Furthermore, he proposed positioning the State of Mexico as the third most relevant business center in the country by 2025.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the state government, mayors from various municipalities in the State of Mexico, and business leaders from diverse organizations. Alfonso Ramos Cardona reaffirmed the commitment to work in compliance with the 2030 Agenda, promoting digital transformation, administrative efficiency, and business ethics.
