The department store Liverpool has introduced a new savings account in collaboration with Banco Actinver, which includes a new debit card. This initiative is expected to attract approximately 250,000 customers over the course of the year. Along with the savings account, Liverpool offers options for people to manage their finances more efficiently, thus promoting formal savings, since in Mexico only 35.5% of adults use banks or financial institutions to save.
Activa Liverpool offers a series of benefits through its debit card with a savings account, such as automatic daily interest, 24-hour access for deposits and transfers, availability of money in branches or through the application, among others. Users can apply for the card by downloading the Liverpool Pocket app, creating an account, going to the credit and savings section, and completing the required information.
This new savings account also provides access to investment funds with low yields, personalized portfolios for managing each client's money, and four portfolio modalities tailored to different investor profiles: conservative, balanced, aggressive, and currency protection. Clients can make deposits to start increasing their assets once the account is created in the application, and the physical card will arrive within 3 to 5 business days. According to information gathered by De Jefes, there is no minimum balance required, no fees, no mandatory terms, or annual fees associated with this account.
