Jalisco Government Aids Companies in Vehicle Verification

The Jalisco government offers free vehicle verification and plate changing for corporate fleets, helping small and medium enterprises streamline their operations. Companies can now verify without waiting for license plate terminations.

Jalisco Government Aids Companies in Vehicle Verification

The Government of Jalisco has implemented a scheme in collaboration with the Secretariat of Environment and Territorial Development (Semadet) and the Secretariat of Public Finance to assist companies with fleets of vehicles in conducting Responsible Verification and changing the plates of each vehicle. This process is free of charge and is part of the "Paquetazo 3x1" plan, which allows for obtaining verification and new plates with a single fee payment of $900 pesos.

The General Director of the Comprehensive Emissions Regulation Agency (AIRE), Javier Sierra, emphasized that both small and medium-sized enterprises can verify the condition of their vehicles, regardless of the size of their fleets. To renew the vehicle registration, the following steps must be followed:

1. Pay the registration fee for each vehicle on the Government of Jalisco's website. 2. Send the documentation of the vehicles with plates corresponding to the designs “Agave”, “Minerva”, and “Drop” to the email rcaudación.shp@jalisco.gob.mx.

The required documentation includes the articles of incorporation, proof of tax situation, recent fiscal address proof, power of attorney, and identification of the legal representative, business email, and contact phone number. Subsequently, the company must schedule an appointment for Responsible Verification by sending an email to aire.aire@jalisco.gob.mx or calling the number 332 686 5150.

For business fleets, it is not mandatory to follow the plate expiration calendars established for private vehicles. Extended hours and attention on non-working days are offered to avoid interruptions in operations. The plate change will be carried out in a single process, even if the plates to be replaced have different endings.

Once the vehicle verification is completed, an appointment can be scheduled for the plate change on the corresponding platform. An Excel list with the information of each vehicle in the fleet must be presented, including the plate to be replaced, serial number, model, brand, type of vehicle, and the name of the individual or company to which they belong. When attending the appointment to collect the new plates at one of the state collection offices, the previously mentioned documentation must be presented, along with the certification of approved or not approved from the Responsible Verification and the original invoice of each vehicle, as well as the corresponding copies.
