You still have time. If you've already seen prices, made calculations, and it wasn't enough for a trip during Holy Week, there is one door that remains open: a credit that can be deposited directly into your account for these vacations.
The Fonacot Institute offers payroll financing of up to four months of your salary, with direct deposits and monthly discounts you choose: 10%, 15%, or 20% of your monthly salary. Interest rates range from 12.53% to 16.72% per year.
There is still more than a week of vacation left. This money helps you cover transportation, accommodation, or the entire trip without having to save it all at once; it can also help you recover after the trip.
"Formal workers in Mexico have an accessible and reliable financing option for the vacation season. It is the credit with a payroll discount from the Institute of the National Fund for the Consumption of Workers (Fonacot)", the organization highlighted.
"To process the Fonacot Credit, working people require 'only' four documents: original INE or passport, recent proof of address, last bank statement, and four recent pay slips.
As well as 'six basic conditions': work at a Fonacot-affiliated Work Center; be over 18 years old; have at least six months of seniority in your current job; provide a mobile phone number; have two personal references; provide a personal email address.
"These are minimal requirements that encourage workers to exercise their right to low-cost, easy-access financing. This is Fonacot's mission: to benefit more people without compromising their economy," added Gazca Herrera.
"The Fonacot payroll discount credit is a right for workers, so we urge avoiding the use of intermediaries or 'coyotes,' who usually charge for procedures that are free, as well as not falsifying documents that harm the applicant," the executive emphasized.
