The airline Viva Aerobus has announced a transformation in its services with the incorporation of 11 new features that will provide greater flexibility to passengers when purchasing a plane ticket. With these improvements, travelers will have the freedom to make changes at no cost, and even the possibility to sell an unused ticket.
"With these new services, travelers will be able to add or remove everything they need to tailor their flight to their needs," stated Juan Carlos Zuazua Cosío, CEO of Viva Aerobus. The company aims to redefine the concept of low cost, promoting a more "intelligent" way of traveling for its customers.
Among the new features are the ability to cancel a ticket up to 24 hours after purchase with a full refund, change the passenger's name up to 4 hours before the flight, modify the route, date or time of the flight, among other options. Additionally, it will be possible to change flights on the same day, confirm a seat at no cost, purchase tickets on fully booked flights with a waiting list, transfer tickets to another person at no cost, and split the reservation so that each passenger can manage their itinerary.
Zuazua mentioned a scenario where a passenger who paid one thousand pesos for their ticket could sell it for a higher price in an internal market created by Viva Aerobus, benefiting from the high demand for certain flights. The company will control the buying and selling process of tickets to prevent potential abuses.
Of the 11 announced features, eight are already in operation while the remaining three will be available in November. With this initiative, Viva Aerobus seeks to transform the concept of a low-cost airline, allowing its passengers greater flexibility and freedom when planning their travels.
