This Monday, November 24, various farmer and transporter organizations will begin a nationwide mobilization that plans to block the country's main arterial highways. According to information disseminated by the conveners—among which are the National Transporters Association (ANTAC), the National Front for the Rescue of the Mexican Field (FNRCM) and the Peasant Agricultural Movement (MAC)—the mobilizations formally began at 08:00. The objective, as stated by the organizers, is to pressure the federal government to guarantee fair prices in agricultural production and attention to safety conditions for cargo transport, as well as the resolution of pending procedures before the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport (SICT). List of affected roads Connections of Mexico City with neighboring states will present blockages on the following stretches: Mexico-Toluca Highway, Mexico-Querétaro Highway, Mexico-Pachuca Highway, Mexico-Puebla Highway, Mexico-Cuernavaca and stretch towards Acapulco, Mexico-Texcoco Highway, Mexico-Tulancingo Highway, Naucalpan-Ecatepec Highway. The Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) issued a statement warning that “adjacent roads could be affected by the mega-blockade”, urging users to anticipate their transfers. In addition to the Valley of Mexico, reports indicate specific closures at key points for commerce and cargo transport in the following entities: San Luis Potosí: Possible prolonged interruptions are reported on Highway 57 (sections towards Querétaro and Matehuala), as well as on accesses to the Industrial Zone. Also on the San Luis Potosí-Rioverde route and accesses to Ciudad del Maíz. Sinaloa: From 10:00, agricultural producers will take booths on the north and central agricultural corridor. The State Front of Agricultural Producers confirmed blockades. Guanajuato: Closures are expected on Federal Highway 45, Highway 45D and the Celaya-Salvatierra road. Michoacán: Booth takeovers are expected in Panindícuaro, Zinapécuaro, Ecuandureo and Vista Hermosa. Chihuahua: There will be effects on the Pan-American Highway and the Lázaro Cárdenas Bridge. The Grupo Estrella Blanca communicated that the mobilizations could “affect strategic transport routes”, although it clarified that “scheduled departures will operate normally until further notice”. Grupo Pullman de Morelos informed the implementation of mobility actions to guarantee the safety of travelers, recommending taking pertinent measures due to blockages on the route to Cuernavaca. The Concamin listed the entities where there will be an active presence of protests, adding to the already mentioned: Zacatecas, Aguascalientes, Veracruz, Jalisco, Campeche, Yucatán, Quintana Roo, Baja California, Colima and Nayarit.
