The daughter of Ginny Hoffman, Alexa Hoffman, has spoken about her current situation after her father, Héctor Parra, was sentenced to 12 years in prison for child sexual abuse. Alexa revealed that she is fighting to survive and is following the guidance of psychologists, although she acknowledged how difficult it has been, especially with the media attention surrounding her case.
In her statements, Alexa detailed that she is attending therapy sessions and taking medication, but expressed her concern about the future and what will happen if her father is released. She wished the trial had been public so that people could understand the abuses she suffered at the hands of her parent and thus avoid having to constantly explain herself.
Alexa Hoffman also referred to the reduction of Héctor Parra's sentence, explaining that it was due to a legal technicality that eliminated an aggravating factor from one of the crimes. Despite this, the 23-year-old pointed out that she is not seeking financial benefits from the legal process, as she does not want her father to have advantages in his conviction or in any potential parole.
In this regard, Alexa expressed her fear at the possibility of Héctor Parra being released and stated that she prefers he serves his sentence in full. The young woman emphasized that her goal in reporting the abuse was not to obtain financial compensation, but to seek justice and prevent her abuser from going unpunished.
