On Saturday, January 25, 2025, the Hoy No Circula program will be in effect in several locations in Mexico, including Atizapán de Zaragoza, Ixtapaluca, Coacalco de Berriozábal, La Paz, Cuautitlán, Naucalpan de Juárez, Cuautitlán Izcalli, Nezahualcóyotl, Chalco, Nicolás Romero, Chimalhuacán, Tecámac, Chicoloapan, Tlalnepantla de Baz, Ecatepec de Morelos, Tultitlán, Huixquilucan, and Valle de Chalco.
According to the restrictions of the program, on this fourth Saturday of January, vehicles with plates ending in even numbers (0, 2, 4, 6, 8) and hologram 1 will not be able to circulate. Additionally, the measure also affects cars with hologram 2 and out-of-state vehicles.
It is important to highlight that the double Hoy No Circula will not be applied, as the air quality remained good on Friday, January 24, and no environmental contingency was declared in the Metropolitan Zone of the Valley of Mexico.
There are exceptions to the program for vehicles such as those with holograms 0 and 00, those used by health sector workers, ambulances, school transportation, vehicles for funerals, cars for people with disabilities, public transport vehicles, motorcycles with a valid Tourist Pass, and cars with certain colored stickers.
It is important to remember that the Hoy No Circula program aims to reduce pollution in Mexico City and in 18 municipalities of the State of Mexico. It is essential to follow the rules of the program to avoid penalties and contribute to improving air quality in the region.
