The State Attorney General for Environmental Affairs of Nuevo León has intensified its actions aimed at improving air quality in the region. Recently, it carried out a total suspension of activities of a construction project by FRACCIÓN INMOBILIARIA S.A. DE C.V. in the municipality of Santiago. This measure was taken due to the pollutant emissions detected in the atmosphere generated by the traffic of freight vehicles within the property.
Additionally, a total suspension of operations at the facilities of ESFERA MATERIALS SCIENCE S.A. DE C.V., located in Santa Catarina, was implemented. The reason for this action was the lack of necessary state permits for its operation. Furthermore, the activities of Interasfaltos, S.A. DE C.V. in Cadereyta were suspended due to continuous pollutant emissions during the raw material loading process.
In another inspection, compliance with state environmental legislation was verified at CONCRETOS TEPEYAC, S.A. DE C.V. Moreover, to ensure adherence to regulations, nighttime patrols have been carried out in General Escobedo, Apodaca, Juárez, and Cadereyta.
The State Attorney General for Environmental Affairs monitors air quality 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with the aim of detecting fires and pollutant sources that may pose a risk to the community.
