Due to unexpected snowfall and a drop in temperature in the high-altitude areas of the State of Mexico, the Coordination of High Mountain and Agreste Valley of Mexico Tactical Groups is implementing surveillance, prevention, and social outreach actions in the Iztaccíhuatl-Popocatépetl National Park. Additionally, in the Tlamacas area, near the Popocatépetl volcano, security and surveillance tours are conducted to inhibit illicit activities and reinforce social proximity with those transiting in the area; special attention is also maintained as it is a restricted area due to volcanic activity.
