The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) of Mexico reported on Sunday the shipment of more than 814 tons of food supplies to Cuba as a symbol of “solidarity and humanitarian aid,” in a context in which the country continues to manage efforts to resume oil shipments despite the sanctions announced by U.S. President Donald Trump. “Through the Mexican Navy, humanitarian aid is being sent to the Republic of Cuba, via the Papaloapan and Isla Holbox Logistic Support Ships. Both ships set sail from the port of Veracruz with a cargo of more than 814 tons of food supplies,” the SRE stated in a communiqué.
