Previous arrests sparked internal disputes that led to various violent incidents, including homicides recorded between December 2025 and January 2026. In the eastern area of Coacalco, an independent group known as 'Los Ébano' was detected, settled in a housing unit of the same name. One of its members, Ihan Moisés 'N', alias 'Piscis', was found dead on January 23 in Tultitlán. As a result of these investigations, the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection and the Prosecutor's Office of the State of Mexico conducted operations between January 26 and 29 in Coacalco and Tultitlán, achieving the arrest of 11 people considered generators of violence. The detainees were linked to the process and transferred to different penitentiary centers, and they must be considered innocent until there is a conviction. This group called itself 'Los Lobos'. Another criminal group was identified in the San Marcos colony, under the command of Omar 'N', alias 'Monas', arrested in December 2025 and currently linked to process for qualified homicide against at least five people. After his arrest, leadership was assumed by Lucio 'N', alias 'El Señor del Sombrero', who served as head of Intelligence Operations for the Municipal Police. Among his operators were Francisco Javier 'N', alias 'Donas', and Fátima 'N', alias 'Fany', whose home was used as a safe house; in that property, seven people deprived of their liberty were rescued on January 27, six of them of Honduran origin. Likewise, other members with functions of sicarios, lookouts, and drug distributors were identified. Authorities identified the operation of various criminal groups with a presence in the municipalities of Coacalco and Tultitlán, in the State of Mexico, which dispute control over the sale and distribution of narcotics, as well as extortion in different areas of both jurisdictions. Among them is the group known as 'Los Portales', whose activity is concentrated in Coacalco, particularly on the border with Tultitlán. Derived from intelligence work, it was established that after the arrest of Rubén 'N', alias 'El Tío', accused of being a generator of violence and leader of a criminal organization in Coacalco, control of the group fell into the hands of three people of his trust. In the Izcalli del Valle colony, Antonio 'N', alias 'Lobo', operated along with his sons Luis Antonio 'N', alias 'Lobito', and Jaqueline 'N', as well as David Laymon 'N', the latter's romantic partner and a public servant for the Coacalco city council, who presumably participated in extortion activities.
