A two-year-old boy identified as Henry died this Sunday after being hospitalized for severe burns suffered in an arson attack at a convenience store in Valle de Chalco, State of Mexico. The minor died around 2:00 PM at the National Institute of Rehabilitation, after being admitted on February 22 with burns on 80% of his body and respiratory tract injuries. Since his admission, he had been sedated and intubated due to the severity of his injuries, caused by direct exposure to fire, as reported by the newspaper Excélsior. Attack with Molotov cocktails According to the investigations, the minor was injured when a group of individuals threw incendiary devices at a store in Valle de Chalco. The attackers allegedly used bottles with flammable liquid, Molotov cocktails, and also sprayed substances inside the establishment and against the victims. The boy's father and another person present at the scene were also injured in the attack. There are detainees and arrest warrants The Attorney General's Office of the State of Mexico reported that the possible involvement of seven people in the events has been identified. So far, four individuals have been arrested and charged with various crimes, including attempted murder, while three others have arrest warrants. Among those detained are individuals identified as Edgar “N” and Luis Antonio “N”, who are already facing a judicial process, as well as a teenager whose identity remains confidential. Investigation continues for the attack The minor's body remains pending forensic examinations for transfer to the Public Prosecutor's Office, while investigations continue to fully clarify the facts and determine responsibilities. The case has caused a stir due to the violence of the attack and its impact on civilian victims, including children.
