The above generated interest among internet users, who pointed out that in 2024 Kin Yael Villafaña Morán obtained an income of 1,390,027 pesos after taxes, which is equivalent to 115,835 pesos monthly for his position at the CFE. He also reported other incomes, although smaller compared to his salary as a public servant: 50,000 pesos from the sale of assets and 20,000 pesos for professional services, advice, consultations, and advisory services. In case he continues in his position at the CFE, the total amount of his remuneration will be known at the end of May. According to the National Transparency Platform, for two months, between July and September 2025, the CFE reported a gross income of 26,654 pesos, which after taxes amounted to 20,503 pesos.
