In operations carried out in Cuautla and Yecapixtla, elements of the Morelos Attorney General's Office detained six people allegedly linked to criminal groups, seizing high-powered weapons, cartridges, bulletproof vests, vehicles, and drugs, according to local authorities.
In the Lázaro Cárdenas neighborhood, the Morelos State Attorney General's Office, in coordination with the High Impact Crimes Investigation Prosecutor's Office (FIDAI), the Eastern Regional Prosecutor's Office, and the Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC), carried out these actions to dismantle criminal groups operating in the region.
One of the detainees in Cuautla, Mayreli “N”, 20 years old, was caught in possession of a vehicle with altered identification means, allegedly related to extortion, linking her to the criminal group “Los Acapulco” and attributing connections to “Guerreros Unidos.”
In Yecapixtla, after a report of gunshots at Residential Punta del Valle, authorities detained Rogelio Aurelio “N”, alias “Roy”, linked to a shooting in which he attempted to escape by jumping from a building. Bulletproof vests, usable cartridges, and other objects related to drug offenses were seized in this operation.
During these operations, in a confrontation, one of the detainees, Agustín “N”, fired at the agents, injuring three of them. Another detainee, Manuel Jonathan “N”, tried to flee, triggering a chase in which five officers were injured, two of whom unfortunately died in the General Hospital of Cuautla.
In Tetelcingo, a detention was also made of María del Carmen “N”, 54 years old, for alleged drug-related offenses. Investigations continue, and the FIDAI has enabled a telephone number for reporting, including anonymous reports, as part of these actions aimed at weakening the activities of criminal groups in the region.
