Elements of the Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC) of the Eastern Regional Prosecutor's Office executed an arrest warrant in Cuautla, Morelos, against Eva Zuleyma 'N', for the crime of aggravated sexual abuse in a homogeneous real contest against two children. This case stands out for its atypical nature: a woman accused of being a sexual aggressor of minors, a perpetrator profile that is uncommon in crimes of this nature, which are usually committed by men. According to the complaint, Eva Zuleyma 'N' would have sexually abused the two minors on repeated occasions and on different dates. A relative of the victims filed the complaint with the Specialized Unit for Sexual Crimes and Human Trafficking in the Eastern zone. After investigations, expert examinations, and expert opinions, the Public Ministry agent established the probable responsibility of the woman, for which a specialized first-instance judge issued the arrest warrant. Where was the woman accused of sexual abuse against minors detained? The detention was carried out in the Santa Inés neighborhood of Cuautla. Following the corresponding protocol, Eva Zuleyma 'N' was admitted to the women's area of the State Social Reintegration Center (Cereso) Morelos, located in Atlacholoaya, municipality of Xochitepec, where she will await her initial hearing. The case of Eva Zuleyma 'N' in Cuautla represents, as far as public information is available, an atypical and infrequent fact in Morelos (and generally in the country), where women rarely appear as direct aggressors in sexual abuse against children. Local studies (such as those carried out at the Autonomous University of the State of Morelos and health reports) confirm that between 86 and 94 percent of perpetrators of child sexual abuse are male, and the majority are known to the victim (relatives or close ones). Morelos registers high rates of child sexual violence, but the aggressor's profile is predominantly male.
