During a demonstration on the outskirts of the Historic Center of Guadalajara, the driver of a truck ran over several participants, leaving at least 8 people injured. The events occurred near the Metropolitan Cathedral and, according to information from local media, the culprit, accused of stealing the vehicle, was arrested by the police.

After a pro-life march, which involved families with children and elderly people, the driver of the black truck, allegedly intoxicated, struck the protesters. Although no fatalities were reported among the injured, some had serious wounds.

The municipal president of Guadalajara, Verónica Delgadillo García, confirmed that emergency teams were already providing care to the injured. According to witnesses, the incident occurred when the demonstration was about to end and the group was preparing for a prayer session.

Subsequently, the arrest of the responsible individual was recorded, who had supposedly stolen the truck near the Mercado Corona. During his attempted escape, he caused injuries to several people in a pedestrian area, which led to his arrest by the crowd. Among the injured, cases of severity were highlighted, such as open fractures and significant injuries.

Authorities ruled out that the hit-and-run was a targeted attack on the pro-life protesters, stating that the driver, under the influence of some substance, had acted recklessly. It was confirmed that a minor was in the stolen vehicle during the incident but was rescued unharmed.

Currently, several injured individuals are under medical observation in local hospitals, while legal support is being provided to the victims. The police continue to investigate the case to determine the driver's responsibilities and fully clarify the events that occurred during the demonstration in Guadalajara.
