The municipality of Guadalupe and the Mexican Chamber of the Construction Industry (CMIC) have signed collaboration agreements to benefit families in vulnerable situations. Following the approval by the City Council of Guadalupe, Mayor Héctor García and CMIC president Roberto Macías, Nuevo León Delegation, formalized the synergy with an in-kind donation of 500 thousand pesos to the municipal DIF system.
The donation included wheelchairs, hearing aids, and support for surgeries that will improve the quality of life and health of the residents of Guadalupe who lack financial resources, as highlighted by CMIC. The collaboration will be established in social development programs, integrity, and training, exchanging advice and knowledge between municipal public servants and construction entrepreneurs on issues of transparency and optimization of work to support the community.
Roberto Macías reaffirmed the commitment to the reconstruction of the social fabric of Guadalupe and Nuevo León, providing opportunities to those in need. "Formal businesspeople in the construction sector will donate two pesos for every thousand in public works carried out in Guadalupe, to be donated to actions in favor of the vulnerable population," said the executive.
