Fausto Isidro Meza Flores, also known as 'Chapo Isidro', has been accused by the FBI of drug trafficking, including cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, and other illegal substances. He is alleged to be the presumed leader of the Meza-Flores Cartel, a criminal organization active on the southern border of the United States, involved in crimes such as kidnapping, extortion, torture, and murder.
'Chapo Isidro's' criminal career began in the 1990s when he worked for the Juárez Cartel under the direction of Amado Carrillo Fuentes, nicknamed 'The Lord of the Skies'. Currently, the FBI is offering a reward of 5 million dollars for information leading to his capture.
'Chapo Isidro', 42 years old, with dark brown hair and brown eyes, has been added to the list of the ten most wanted fugitives by the FBI, being the only Mexican on that list. Additionally, the Office of Foreign Assets Control sanctioned several of his associates and companies linked to his criminal organization based in Guasave, Sinaloa.
In 2019, a federal grand jury issued an indictment against Fausto Isidro Meza Flores for drug trafficking and possession of firearms. Despite his criminal record, 'Chapo Isidro' is not on the DEA's most wanted list. He has been linked with the faction of 'Los Chapitos' and with the group of 'El Chapo Isidro'.
After Carrillo Fuentes' death in 1997, Fausto Isidro Meza Flores joined the Beltrán Leyva Cartel, rising to become a prominent leader. Following the death of Arturo Beltrán Leyva in 2009, Meza Flores decided to separate and form his own criminal group. In 2012, he was formally charged with trafficking cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, and marijuana in the District of Columbia.
The FBI urges anyone with information about 'Chapo Isidro's' whereabouts to contact authorities to help capture him and bring him to justice.
